About the project

Our Ministry

Our ministry is to individual orphans and their surrogate families, or providing clean water, solar electricity, houses for families we know whose mud houses are collapsing, but mainly education.

We give our supporters lots of feedback on the projects they support, they love it and sometimes get involved more when new needs come up. The whole set up is very personal, no other charity we know gives the feedback on donations like we do, (that doesn’t mean they don’t!) we connect our sponsors with their children over WhatsApp calls, as well as them writing to each other regularly, if the sponsor chooses to.

They really get to know each other, we feel that is important and is necessary so that they know their money is being used for the purpose it was given.

They know that 100% of the their money goes to support that child, nothing is spent on phone calls, admin, expenses, petrol, wages etc.

Kate and John have known some of the children since January 2012, we have watched them grow over the last 11 years, seen many of them complete secondary education, 2 of those children now work in Kenya carrying out the projects, some of them we have trained as school teachers.

We have seen the lives of the orphans transformed by working closely with our supporters.

Sponsors call Kate if they want clarification on anything, if she doesn’t know the answers she finds out and brings them the answers.

Our Mission

Free 2 Be is passionate about fulfilling its purpose, to see those it ministers to live their dreams and walk in their God given destiny. We believe when we live this way, we begin to know how unique, special and wonderfully created each one of us is. We learn to value ourselves and others and live life to the full, which is what God intends.

Our mission is to enthuse, inspire, encourage, educate, motivate and teach God’s love through our actions, to improve life in rural Western Kenya.

Through this action many have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and be set free from debilitating sickness to live a life of abundance, all to His glory.
